Large-scale fire-fighting, rescue on rivers and seas drill at Euro Port Bridge (Dinh Vu Industrial Park)

On the morning of January 17, at Dinh Vu Industrial Park, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force - Hai Phong City Police Department has coordinated with friendly forces to organize a , large scale drill of fire prevention and rescue on the river sea at EURO Wharf located in Deep C IZ. The hypothetical situation is while the An Phu 16 petrol tanker (with a tonnage of 7,000 tons, carrying 5,000m3 of A95 gasoline; dimensions: 117m long, 17m wide, about 950m² deck area) is pumping its carog into the petroleum warehouse of PV Oil Dinh Vu at the 10,000 DWT wharf - Euro Port bridge, its pump system was jammed. Then there was an electrical system failure, causing a fire in the bow area (near cargo hold 1), an area of ​​about 50m².

With the rehearsal scenario is designed closely, logically and there are many happenings that arise close to real situations such as fire spreading causing explosion; workers are injured or fall into the river in danger of life; gasoline spilled into the river, causing a big fire ..... the exercise simulated all possible events for a fire and explosion accident on the river.

The units participating in the exercise demonstrated their effectiveness when quickly communicating, exchanging information, making plans for fire fighting - rescue, deploying formations, and synchronously coordinating fire fighting & rescue plans which are available, extinguish the fire and prevent re-ignition.

The general rehersal achievied a great success, thereby clearly demonstrating the ability to simultaneously coordinate firefighting, search and rescue, oil spill response, remediation. environmental consequences, etc. of the Fire and Rescue Police force, showing the quality of newly and methodically invested fire prevention and fighting equipment such as the Hai Phong 01 vessel
